i prob wouldnt do a turtle unless i had a bigger tank because i would want to significantly lower the water level (which obviously decreases the gallons.) i would lower the water to make sure turtle had room to bask. and definatelty a risk of fish getting eaten

ok, i will just wait till he can have his own tank to get him. i just saw that at our local public aquarium they have an amazonian sideneck in with pacu, arapima, shovelnose and lots of other fish. thnx for all the input guys.

yeah but those are some very big fish and I am sure they were in a very big tank. The rules change once you get to that sort of macro level where everything is massive.
ya their tank is a 2500 water with about 5 feet of land on top, it looks just like someone took a chunk out of the river, its pimp, next time we go ill take pix for ya.
ya the only thing i dont like about it is the fact that the pima is a baby, maybe a bit over 18"
