turtles and fish together ????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 125 with 5 different species of water turtle, a school of tiger barbs, a long ear sunfish, and a few others and they have lived together since the turtles were an inch long with no issues.
-Red Ear Slider
-Painted
-Softshell
-Musk
-common snapper

They are all about 4 inches now and will soon move to their new 220 :)

Alot of it depends how much space the said tank occupants have to share. imo.
the amount of space is irrelevant. these animals eat fish in the wild. And that is done in much larger volumes of water

I dono if they would live togeather as iv never had snake necked fry rivers seam to be peasfull. Don't know about the snakenecks

Yes, but they don't all eat live fish. My turtles will devour any dead fish in the tank, but they act as if they arent even there the rest of the time.
Even my common snapper, which was a surprise even to me.
