Do you mean with no basking area? If so, look at Fly River turtles, common snapping turtles, and alligator snapping turtles. These are all big species and need multi-hundred-gallon tanks or ponds. Kinosternids (American mud and musk turtles) are also predominantly aquatic and much smaller. Mine do like to bask occasionally, so i would suggest providing at least a small basking area.

I would not recommend forcing any type of snapping turtle to live in the water all the time with no escape. My commons and even my alligator snappers are very frequent baskers. My commons actually probably spend about the same time basking as my painteds, maps, ect.

wat about florida softshell turtles, mississippi map turtles, red eared sliders, or southern painted i will buy a floating dock for them which ones are smaller.

I love my southern painted, she wont get too big either. They are the smallest of the painted turtles. (4-6") Got mine from this guy http://www.floridaherps.com/

Months later shes still happy as she was the day we got her, eating out of our hands etc.
