twin 200 gallon set up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I know lol he was really interested in them when they were filling, I plan on putting those guys in the 125 in one of the bigger ones. Have some African cichlids ready to go into the 125, still not sure if I want to attempt the Columbians or not. All the videos iv watched on them I love the way they look and seem very active. From what I have been hearing they do best in groups of 3 or more, would 4 of them be alright?

That is a pretty cool looking set up you got there, nice find! I bet it will look really nice with the fish in there.

dang always love the tanks with the 3d backgrounds. nice find. cool set up. cant wait to see em with fish!

If it were me I would add a bunch of clown loaches and make it a loach tank!!! Are you doing a fishless cycle to get those new filters started? I would recommend it or your fish are gonna get way stressed if you don't do daily water changes till those filters get established. Just my 2¢.

P.S. love the way those tanks look.

Planning on just cycling with media/filters from established 125 and 55 gallon tanks up and running. Will still check water parameters frequently

Brackish is easy. Add some marine salt - use a spectrometer - , cycle, add some fish.

A school of monos would be boss, or archers. A tank that size could also make a great brackish community tank. I have wasp fish, blennies, molllies, orange and natural morphology chromides, bb gobies and spotted ctenopoma in my 180.

If both tanks end up with the same water parameters, a water bridge made of acrylic connecting them would be cool. A guy on reefcentral had a great thread with a movie of his tang traveling through it. Youd have to make the sumps connect, though, to avoid imbalance and a flood.
