Twitching?

I have what I believe is a yellow lab cichlid. It's acting very spastic. It keeps hiding and what almost looks like twitching back and forth. I'm not sure if there's something wrong or is this normal behavior?
 
Usually when I see a fish acting spasmatic or twitching, it's due to a parasite. Any white stringy poop?
