Hey guys! I got a fish from petco yesterday. It was donated because the previous owner could no longer take care of it. It’s in a QT tank at the moment and I’ve noticed it twitches every now and then. Like you ever get a chill go down your spine? Like that. That’s the best I can describe it. It’s not very active. It mostly just hides until it thinks no one is looking. Any guesses as to what I should treat it for? I also think it may have a bacterial finnrot. Not for certain though.

Prazi and metro twitching could be nothing but could also be flukes.

Could just be an irritant in the water so do lots of water changes. Don’t do any meds unless you see any other symptoms like spots, white poop, etc. Looks like it was probably get bullied by another fish so the owner turned it in. Add some salt to help would frayed fins.

What is that? An African cichlid?
