two 6 inch oscar with 6 inch arowana in 3 feet long aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
:iagree: A 3x1x1 ft tank is about 22.44 gallons... How long have you had those 2 oscars? Unless you get a bigger tank, one of your Oscars will die, which to me, is a lot worse than selling it. I don't even want to think what will happen when you put an arowana in there. He will outgrow it in a month. I currently have a 7 inch Tiger Oscar and a 7 inch silver Arowana in a 90 gallon tank and its already starting to look a bit cramped. Luckily though, I have a 8'x2'x2' comming in a few months after I throw out my old workdesk. Hopefully you have an upgrade rdy to go, because cramping these monsters in such a small tank is very irresponsible. Good Luck and keep us posted.

thanks for all your advice and i would be planning to move on a bigger aquarium

You need to do this not only before you get an aro, but before your oscars get any larger.....meaning NOW. Too small of a tank is unfortunately the most common demise of oscars. If you can't get a bigger tank immediately, you should consider getting rid of the oscars and starting over when you can get the appropriately sized tank. Especially if they're fighting.
