Two Aqueon Pro 250 Watt heaters should be enough to heat a 240 Gallon tank right?

That's the highest wattage they make and I don't want no glass heaters.

Thanks for your opinions

Hmm I have two 250w Aqueon pros in my 125 and they handle that no problem. Not sure about a 240 though.
Hmmm.. I got one 300 watt in my 125 and it keeps my temps at a steady 84.

I'll give it a try and if it doesn't hold the temp then I'll add another

I have three 300 in my 450 with a 150 sump and a temperature controller. 78 always. By extrapolation you should be okay. Mine is acrylic though I don't know if that makes a difference. Personally I would go with three 200 for redundancy so if one fails you still have 400 watts of heat. I also recommend a controller if you don't already have one.

I used 2 300wat eheim heaters in my 220 which kept the temp steady

I currently have 2 300 watt eheims on my 220 myself but prior to this I had 2 250 watts. They did the job were even able to get my temp up 87 to kill off some ick but that was them maxed out on the 91 degree setting.

Good to hear guys, I bought two Aqueon Pro 250 watters and I just put them in. I'll chime in in a day or two to see how they are performing.

BTW my 240 Gallon is Acrylic so I feel like it will keep the heat insulated better.

You do know that to properly test them you need to post a full tank shot right?
Haha of course... Excuse the mess.
Still cycling the tank I'm going to keep it bare for big fish.

What controller do you recommend for the Aqueon Pro Heaters?
