Two cons 125 gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very bad move lol. Let give you example I observed in the past in my 125 .one pair of cons roughly 3 inches male and female took over a section of the tank and made everything a living hell for a 11 jag,13 Oscar and a thick pike cichlid. The other cichlids in your tank won't have a chance at the fry. With two pairs it would be bad

+1 had a pair in my 75 with an Oscar and they killed him

Well I could just move a male in the tank I have a female in let them breed then move him back. Or a second option would be to swap out a male with a female. How would that work? Just a single pair?

A single pair could even cause a problem. I only had one pair in my 75 and they still killed the Oscar.

Single pair will be bad enough but workable. They will claim at least a foot and a half of tank just be aware and your fish won't be able to get at the fry. The pair we had killed my pike

A pair could work, I have a pair of breeding convicts in my 200g and when they lay eggs they claim almost half of the tank. I first added 3 pairs and they formed couples in 2 days and claimed the whole tank constantly fighting with eachother. I have 2 Gt's, 1 texas, 7 clown loaches, BGK and a clown knife, and only the clown knife can come close to their turf. All the rest are crammed in the other half of the tank
