Has anyone here ever had any luck keeping two male green terrors in the same tank? Just curious. Either way one of my two seems too aggressive in general to be around any other cichlids.

ditto on tank size and size of each GT. I have two male GT's at 6 and 7 inches each and i know forsure, one will kill the other if placed together.

yeah usually its a pretty safe bet that males of the same species will not tolerate each other, its just how they evolved to ensure that they maintain control of their area. if you only have space for one then i would see which one you like better and find the other one a new home unless your tank is HUGE

This would probably explain why it seems that females are so prevalent.

I have 3 males, no problems, one is 5 inch, one 6 and the biggest one is 8 inch. They do fight a little more with each other then they fight with the other cichlids though, but nothing gets out of control. But still it's not something I would advice because I read a lot of cases in which it doesn't work.

You might be able to make it work in nothing under 6ft long, with two sides decorated and the middle left open so they can each have a side and you raised them together form a small say 2-3" size.
