The shooting of these officers was a terrible thing to happen, compounded by the time of year in which it has occurred.
I agree that the race baiting has to stop. Is there still racism in America? obviously. But I don't think the way it's being addressed is helpful if the goal is to eliminate it. There was actually a time last week, after reading about several of these "police brutality" stories, that I felt genuinely guilty for being white. Then I stopped to think about how ridiculous that was! And lastly I remembered that I am, in fact, half Iranian.
I look forward to the day when all of us stop noticing the color of peoples skin, and just evaluate one another on our relative decency as human beings.
