thanks FunWow....I currently have a 12" (which gets along pretty well with my 7" NGT) and I am contemplating adding another 10" ST. The two being so close size wise I'm worry about constant fighting.

Oh i was thinking you just had one dat in the tank...Since you have 2 you can get away with another for sure. May fight alittle bit here and there but can be done. I keep 3 STs and 3ITs together now and they are fine. The 3STs were fine before i add more fish. Now they may fight here and there but as long as they arent fighting over food they are fine. I would get it.

Good point if the stores can get them but most stores are probably getting them from owners who are looking to get rid of what they have.

i've kept 2 ST's together with no problems in a 300g.. i think it depends on the tank size. I miss my ST's T_T... im now out of the hobby due to financial problems... hopefully i get back on track and obtain the ST's i had to give away... and a 300g tank again T___T

Had one, then two, then three and finally four....always had problems, one would always boss others, one eat more than others, one being picky, one more personable than others, etc.....then came the fighting, torn tails, blindness......now I have just one that's spoiled and have no problems. STs are what got me into this hobby, wish I could keep a whole bunch but I've learned my lesson. Hope others had have better luck.

A few years after first posting on this thread I now have two and they live in seperate tanks as one is peaceful and the other seems to want to kill the other.
