Type of fish happy in a 10 G tank

I'm thinking about decorating my 10g tank with all local rocks and was wondering what type of fish would be happy in that size and decor.

There are lots of fish that can live in a 10g happily, look for fish that stay under 3-4"

you could keep smaller crabs, newts, aquatic frogs, newts etc. you have a lot of options for non fish too.
you have had lots of really good answers though!

you could go for the african cichlids from lake tangynika known as the "shell dwellers" they are small 1" long fish that live and breed inside shells, they have amazing personality and they like to make a little colony in a tank.
