That sounds like a good plan. I also agree with the pool fliter sand. I used play sand in my rbp tank and I'm not real fond of it. I have been sucking it out a little at a time as I vacuum. I plan to replace with pool filter sand.

I'm thinking of changing my substrate too. I'm using red gravel now which I hear can be a stressful color to fish. I think I'm gonna switch to sand as well.

i use the 3m color quartz.. i buy it from a local supplier @ 20 bucks a #50 bag..
its a really nice sand.. its heavy so it doesn't get sucked up too easily.. it also doesn't compact like the silica sand i had before.. and the best part? you can get it in COLORS!! lol

oo ima just probally go buy pool filter sand from a local hardware store if they gots.
