Types of fresh water puffers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
9 seconds is all we get??? I'm thinking mbu now too. What are your plans for this giant?

I think for me it was the size of the fish that threw me off most... the smallest MBU i've seen in real life must have been at least 4" - 6" long... so never seen one under 3", which is probably why i was kinda thinking it may have been a fahaka with an MBU style of marking coz of its age...

same here, I have never seen one that small.

With out trying to be cocky I thought it was blindingly obvious it was a mbu?
Anyways lovely looking fish, great expression!

Edit. I realise that sounds incredibly arrogant. Not my intention, I meant to say i didn't even consider it being anything other than a mbu but after looking again I can see the fahaka-ishness and where people are coming from, but I'd bet on mbu. :)

If you have been an experienced Puffer keeping raising a Mbu 1.5 inches to 17inches or so .... its pretty easy to spot the "jizz"...

That goes equally as well with fish as it does with birds

+1 but I needed to read the link for a better understanding of the word "jizz" I lived it the UK for 3 years and realize some of the slang words just don't translate well. This is a classic example

After the vid I agree Mbu, before the vid I was thinking Fahaka.

First thought was MBA to me. Fahaka didn't cross my mind but that's probably cuz my buddy owned a baby fan aka and raised it to be massive. So i know how a baby fahaka looks and it's nothing like the pics.
