Types of Jardinis

I guess it's the same as with the asian aros. There is one species (scleropages formosus) with many different color variants ... red, gold, green, etc.

I've heard of people talking about gold base and red base jars, but I think the color difference is less pronounced than in asians ... still just one species though (scleropages jardini).

I've only heard of one kind leichardti (scleropages leichardti) which is the other kind of aussie aro ... it's basically got a silvery colored body and it's barbels point outwards, instead of down like the jars.

Here's my jar ... I'd say it's the red variant. What do you think? :D

I think this is the one you're referring to. It's not a true albino. It's called a flavistic (sepia-toned) albino:
