My uaru amp. Have laid eggs a number of times and have always eaten them, which I assumed was the case this last time. Nope! Went in today to feed and look at them and in the front corner I have little uaru fry huddled together. I'm not trying to keep any right now but its cool to see. This picture is pretty awful, sorry bout that.
 
Congrats! They feed off parents' skin secretions like discus which might be a cool behavior to witness in person. :D
 
These guys grow fast. I was expecting them to get eaten within a week but they are still here. I'll have to remove them I think, this tank is already over stocked!

this is cool. The just run up to the parents and nibble at them. I can definitely see how this would be a useful adaptation in the wild. It's so interesting how different fish have all these different ways to care for their young.
