Uaru Breeding Pair

I was in Animal Jungle today and they had about 10 5-6" Uarus in a tank. In the back there were 2 of them getting ready to spawn. I picked them up. 60$ for the pair. Was this a good deal?

i would have said so! but you do know that they like to live in larger groups right?? although im not sure if this comes into account when they are breeding lol

seems good to me. i know 6" uaru A. sell for anything upwards of £30 per fish here in the uk so i would have snapped a breeding pair for what is more or less £30 ($60).
good find.

I paid double that for a pair that wound up DOA with no refund...so I'd say you got a deal

Just remember they're one of, if not the hardest SA to spawn.

Uaru ferdz. may be one of the harder to spawn SA cichlids for sure, but amps. are fairly easy. Having said that, I know SEVERAL SA cichlids that make spawning the ferdz. a snap.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for the pair mate!! Keep that water warm and them unstressed. I don't know why, but it always seemed to me that my amps. were ALWAYS the first fish to get any ich. Just rediculously annoying was all. Best of luck!
