My two are pretty aggressive and even attack me or the hose when doing water changes.
They nip at my panaque but don't bother my male Pellegrini I have with them.
I also kept them with a group of Altifrons from a young age and they were fine together.
They do like their own spot to hide and hang out and hate when other fish get near it.

I got 3 juvie amphs and they peck at the wood pretty good when theyre not being fed. Love these little guys. My first time owning them.

Uaru will eat anything, even if they're being well-fed. Mine used to get peas and Romaine lettuce in addition to their daily pellets, and they would still scrape driftwood, eat my sponge filters, and rip the leaves off my plastic and silk plants. They're like goats. I don't know if it has anything to do with aiding in digestion or if it's just in their nature to graze on anything that may appear edible.

I also learned the hard way that anything with a suction cup would quickly pique a Uaru's curiosity. I had a titanium heater and the controller probe was held inside the tank with a suction cup. They were constantly pulling it off the glass by the little tab and chewing at it. Maybe they're like cats and just want to mess with everything.
