I'm going to put my pair back together after we move and hopefully get them breeding. If they're successful I'll grow out a group of around 10-12 for the big SA tank I'm planning, will be interesting to see how they go being kept in such a large group...

Rapps has some look at his pics. http://www.tangledupincichlids.com/
you can see the orange color to then and their black "triangle" does not go all the way to the tail.

Like Heros sp. 'Atabapo' instead of listing it as Heros notatus 'Atabapo' ... or Heros sp. 'Rotkeil' versus Heros efasciatus.

I'd like to know what grounds Rapps is basing his name of "Uaru Sp." on, does he actually think they are a separate third species, or just a regional variant on U. amphiacanthoides. To me, if the only difference from Uaru a. is the colour then it would hardly be enough to justify a new species.
Has anyone here got some???
