i think people assume because they are one of the more peaceful cichlids that they dont have the usual cichlid aggression. i can tell you now that is so very wrong. they may be one of the more peaceful ones but they are still cichlids and like more aggressive cichlid that are kept in pairs or larger groups of even numbers only.
