She has a really different pattern!

looking great!
:D
Her pattern is much different than my males was. His flowers were all made up of small spots/dots.

the rays look fantastic. what sand/pebble do u have the marbles on?

Its just a small natural gravel about 1/16"-1/8" in size

I love the orange color the flower is showing. Marbles are nice as well. Just sucks you lost the male flower
Its not as orange as it appears, (more yellow) just my crappy camera and simple lighting.
I wish I hadn't lost the male, but it was my mistake, he wasn't ready to be moved.
That is what my biggest hesitation about moving this female is right now.

Totally agree, a very underrated species.

Moved her in with the marbles yesterday evening. She's doing great. Pounding whole crawlers and mysis shrimp. A few more pics in her new
home.

She is really dark for her size. I hope that light gravel doesn't make her lighten back up. Love the tail!

wow man...just WOW! Looking good man... I think the best deal would be send her my way.... She would pair up nicely with my male :)

How big is she?

Are they out competing her for food?

She is much blacker than my male was. I don't think she will lighten with the gravel, actually the lighter gravel makes the black pop even more.

She is just under 7". They are pretty aggro feeding but she is learning quickly.
I just feed them first with food she isn't eating yet and while they are feeding
I drop crawlers down to her and she pounces. The others come and try to take them,
but she fends them off pretty good.
She would look good with your male but I don't think I could part with her after
everything I went through to save her.;)
