8 RBPs in a 120 is too many, no matter what the demensions(my 120g is 60x18x26) XR's suggestion of a 125g is an excellent choice. You could aquascape nicely with driftwood and plants and then add your RBPs plus a couple more, maybe even go for 7 total but you will be pushing it.
