Udon is looking a lot better! Very happy to see the progress!
P.S. I tried finding some floating plants at my LFS, but they didn't have any. NOOOO. lol.

Well.... every store, even PetSmart/Co should have anubias and java fern - these don't need to be planted in the substrate and don't need high lighting. Also, water sprite can just be chucked into water too!
If I knew how to ship plants so they wouldn't die (and I wouldn't get in trouble, I know that there are rules on certain plants) I would happily send you some.

When i did some research on how to ship water lettuce, they wrap the roots with wet tissue and place it in a small ziplock then add a little water for moist.
I exchanged some.plants with another member (java moss and java fern) this way and it worked out fine.

I love floating plants cause i dont have to worry about where i need to plant them, but having a SD in the tank, im sure they will destroy the live plant.
Plus it would/could clog your drain the way its set ul
The penny wort is cool because it can be planted or left floating. It grows nice and tall too

you have any suggestion on nitrate absorbing low light plants i could just throw in the sump ? Floating plants would plants would probably be an issue for me in the tank because of the drains/overflow but should be fine in the sump.
