----------------------------------------------------------

Lot of good fights on this card.

wasn't into this one at first but they made some changes and additions, now the main card looks pretty good. don't care too much for the undercards.

i'm rooting for wanderlei, hope he'll pull off a win. i dont' see bisping ko'ing him, if anything bisping will win dec. wand has a good chance of ko'ing bisping or winning dec also. but should be interesting.

i gotta say, i consider nog the underdog. cain has heavy hands, his wrestling is superior and is much younger (in mma years and experience) and stronger. i don't see nog ko'ing cain, i only see nog winning via sub. i think cain will dictate where the fight goes, and all he needs to do is avoid subs. cain may even knock him out. nog just isn't the same fighter, not as fast, not as good with his hands, can't take a punch the way he used to. i like both guys. dont' matter who wins but i've been a longer nog fan, have followed him since the pride days.

rooting for CC, but dont' know what will happen. rothwell may even win a dec. CC should retire, he has nothing left to prove

the other 2 on the main card should be interesting, not rooting for anyone in particular there.

i will order this,............... ended up ordering the last one because was bored,......... it was just ah-ight. hope this one's better, should be

Cain via decision...svang it's funny you say heavy hands. Cain's biggest negative from the analyst has been his lack of finishing power. In the fights I've watched of his he has looked pretty technical striking I just don't think he has natural KO power. I'm really excited for this fight.

Wandy via TKO..

Bader via KO..

Rothwell via TKO...

Minotauro Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez - I have been on the Cain bandwagon for a long time, and I'm still on it. This will no doubt be his toughest test to date. On their feet, I give the edge to Cain because I think he is the better striker, tecnically, and power-wise. While Cain hasn't shown "finishing" power yet, I think that it is there, but more importantly he won't need a ton of that in this fight because Nog doesn't really have it either. If it stays on their feet, I think Cain will just outwork Nog, who showed great striking in the Couture fight, just because he is so technical, not to mention faster, and I think will carry more power then Nog. If/when it goes to the ground, this is where it will be interesting. Cain is very good on the ground due to his great wrestling skills, and his ground and pound. The problem with both of those is, they are right inside Nog's guard, and Nog is one of the few guys left who can still finish from there. I still like Cain here, en route to his eventual dethroning of Brock, but this will be tough.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping - This is another really tough matchup for Bisping. I really like Bispings style, but he couldn't have picked two worse guys to go up against back to back. Wandy is a lot like Hendo in that he can absorb punishment, so that he can get in tight and dish it back out. He throws hard, and throws a lot. He has had some trouble with guys who have a lot of KO power, but Bisping doesn't have that. Bisping's only shot is to outlast Wandy, and he won't be able to do that on his feet, and he doesn't have much of a ground game to speak of, certainly not one that can keep Silva down for 3 rounds. This could end just like the Hendo fight.

Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos - I think George has been under-rated till this point, but he just doesn't have enough to beat Stevenson. Joe is really getting the most out of his abilities right now, and that should scare pretty much everyone in that weight class, not named BJ Penn. Joe will probably never have enough to be at the top, but he is a very good fighter, and presents a lot of problems for most fighters, nevermind a guy who is getting his first taste of real UFC competition.

Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader - This is a big fight for Bader. He has surprised a lot of people so far, and now he gets his first real shot at a big name (and talent) guy. Bader has very good conditioning, and doesn't stray too far from what his skills are. I think if this fight is fought on their feet, Jardine will win easily, but I don't see that happening. We always used to hear about Jardine's under-rated ground game, well, we'll get a chance to see if it exists in this fight, and I'm betting it doesn't. Bader will hold him down, and not let him up.

Mirko Cro Cop vs. Ben Rothwell - I'll take Cro Cop here, just because I think he still has something left, and he has really fought some tough guys since being in the UFC. Not what he used to be, but enough for Rothwell.

Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski - I really like both of these guys, and I'm excited for this fight. Bonnar can hang with (most) anybody because of his chin, and he can stand in and throw a ton of punches. I like K-Sos's balance a little bit more, because he has a good (but unorthodox) stand-up style, and is pretty good on the ground too. I'm taking Krzystof in this one, but it could go either way. This will likely be the Fight of the Night too.

one thing i learned a long time ago,........... don't listen to the friggin analysts who claim they know what they are analyzing. mma is still a new sport, you got all these darn sport analysts who used to do football and baseball coverage and even boxing analysts and they think they know mma. espn covered friggin Hershal Walker. A 47 year old ex pro football player who made his mma debut. shows how much they know when they cover Walker instead of doing a real cover of guys like bj penn or anderson silva. I know enough and have followed mma for a long time, i became an instant fan since ufc 2. Cain has 7 fights with 6 wins via tko. guys with "pillow hands" don't finish 6 of 7 fights via tko. it only takes half a brain stem to realize that.

but i will say that's true that he isn't known for being a big puncher but it's because of his style. he wrestles and gnp a lot but doesn't choose to strictly stand. he goes for td's when he sees openings. therefore he tko's people while on the ground and not standing. does that mean he doesn't have heavy hands? dont' think so.

the way he caught and rocked rothwell shows his hands are heavy. ben has a solid chin, or else he'd have gotten ko'd standing. he's still improving and he's a friggin beast. he's got what it takes to be a champ. heavy hands, strong wrestling, solid chin (which he showed against kongo) and a gas tank that lasts for days. i'd say his biggest flaw would be his size and reach disadvantage. yea, he's yet to face a true threat, but i think he's got all the tools necessary to become champ.

i really dont' know how nog is gonna beat cain. i feel it will be a hard and long night for nog if he can't sub cain. I would've had cain the underdog if today's cain had fought the nog of 5 years ago. but a prime nog is no longer with us as much as i hate to say that

Mostly agree w/ h_y again.

Cain has the wrestling to dictate where the fight takes place. I think he will try strking first because of Nog's guard and be pretty effective there and then take it to the ground either because Nog is getting the better on the feet or to finish the fight. I see him winning, but Nog has a good chance for sure.

I don't like Bader for some reason and I hope he loses, but I doubt it.

I think it will end like the Hendo fight (Silva/Bisping).

prob not going to get this one, though, even though I think Nog/Cain is going to be a very very important fight. I'm not sure that Cain can beat Brock, though. I think Mir is the one that is going to do that in the rubber match.

I'm hoping the winners will be Nogueira, Wanderlei, Stevenson (thats the big one, I can't stand George), and Krzysztof. Some of the others look like good fights too but I don't really mind if they go one way or the other.
