I said before the fight that the difference was going to be Rashad's wrestling and his speed. If his wrestling wasn't effective, he would not win this one. And he ended up winning, because his wrestling was effective.
Some was saying that Rampage didn't look like himself, and that he should've been more aggressive. I don't think that's the case. Rashad was too quick. Rampage couldn't find him and when he did Rashad clinched or went for takedowns. Rampage came in good shape, he didn't gas. The fight would have been over if he didn't miss 3-4 punches in the third after he dropped Rashad. Watching the replay, when Rashad fell, Rampage followed him down and missed like 4 punches. After that split second, Rashad was going to get up and Rampage had to stop punching to try to hold Rashad down.
My only criticism on Rampage was when Rashad got up, he seemed to still be hurt, but why Rampage didn't try to attack and go for the finish? I don't know. That was his only chance to win the fight but he sat back and let Rashad gain his composer, then got a takedown and landed punches himself. That was the moment when the fight slipped from Rampage.
I'm still a Rampage fan, I can appreciate Rashad's skills. He came in with the right game plan and did what he had to do to win. Can't hate on him for that.
Rampage may be setup to fight Machida next.

It would be awesome if they got Shogun/Rashad, Rampage/Machida and Lil Nog/Forrest on one card
