GSP is already saying he wants to be on the April card in Toronto.
They don't realy have an opponent for him yet, some are saying it could be Shields, I hope not.
I'm calling my shot now, becasue it's coming off a impressive performance by GSP.
They need to give Carlos Condit the shot, and if he gets it, he will beat GSP.
Carlos still has a few fights before he deserves or proves he is ready for the title. I think at this point in his career compared to Jake Shields', I think Jake has a better resume and has been on a winning streak against better competition and I'd give Jake the title shot before I'd give it to Condit
I think Jon Fitch is actually the one that should get the title shot first, he deserved it more than even Kos, but I think from a business stand point, he's not a big draw and many find him to be boring. But he really is the the #1 contender in my eyes. It just sucks that he has to work harder than everyone else since he isn't a big draw. Let's remember also that he has 14 wins in the ufc with only 1 loss to gsp. Some guys get 1 awesome win and got a title shot (anderson silva and brock lesnar). And prior to his loss to gsp, the dude's last loss was in 2002! sucks to be jon fitch,..........

Hazlett's submit loss was a surprise. He is supposed to be the submission ace. But hey, lets be honest Bocek is not an handsome man. He is a famous UFC fighter and is likely still using match.com to find a g/f. Then again, Hazlett looks like a much younger version of a guy at work that I cannot stand. I am sure Hazlett will be getting the pink slip next week.
The Danzig KO reminded me of the Petruzelli/Kimbo KO that closed Elite XC...it looked like such a weak punch, but crumbled him. It was nice, but no where are good at the Daley/Smith KTFO from last week. That was epic!
Shields is next and I hate him. He is like the Eddie Haskel of the "Scrap Pack." GSP will shred him and any of the "don't be scared homie" crew. The idea of seeing Shields having his face turned into hamburger is a wonderful thing, but will probably be GSP's last dance at 170. Its time to move up.
GSP's performance was spectacular. It was like a NFL team playing a High School state champion in an exhibition game. Kos was like a school boy being taken to the learning shed. I can't believe the forums were saying Kos was going to KO him. GSP proved his -500 odds were completely justified.
Nice editorial quote from MMAJUNKIE:
"Real talk, though? St. Pierre is so good at this point that he leaves the UFC brass with few options: Either bump him up to 185-pounds or call off the welterweight division entirely, just to save everybody else the embarrassment."
even a jits ace like Hazelette can get subbed, a guy with great stand up or jits doesn't make them immune to getting ko'd or subbed themselves. I doubt he would get let go. it wouldn't surprize me but I think he shouldn't be let go, at least they should give him 1 more shot
i did't see the show, but based on what I read, I don't know what's more impressive, Danzig's ko, or Daley's ko of Smith. Sure, Daley's may have been more devastating, but Smith had been hurt a couple or few times before the actual ko. But from what I read, Danzig's punch came out of the blue and it was one punch on the button. Danzig's may be considered a better ko depending on how you look at it
If jake gets the next title shot, he'd be the underdog, but I think he has a better chance at beating gsp than kos. I think fitch and jake have better chances than condit.

I was unimpressed by Koschek (again), but I didn't expect him (or anyone) to look good against GSP. It's awesome to see that GSP on a whole other level from anyone he fights. That guy has so many tools and every time he fights, he just shows another one.
I'm happy to read that he has been going up in weight slowly and actually has to cut a little to make weight now. We can only hope for a Silva/GSP fight in the future. Oh, and I'm pretty sure it will be Shields/GSP in the next title defense.
the kos/gsp fight went pretty much the way I thought it would except I thought gsp would finish kos late in the fight. but other than that, I felt kos had nothing for gsp and apparently I was right
I'd love to see gsp/silva also. but i'm not holding my breath. gsp will have to fight fitch, jake and maybe condit. maybe even thiago alves depending on what he does in 2011. So you're looking at all of 2011 to be booked for gsp. He said that if/when it happens, it will be a permanant jump and he won't do it until the division is completely cleaned out. with jake, condit and fitch rematch, it won't be cleaned out imo until after he beats them.
at the same time, anderson wants to retire soon. he's 35 now, if he doesn't fight gsp in 2011, he'll be 36. If they fight in 2012, he'll be 37, if they dont' fight in 2012, it will be 2013, anderson will be 38. by that time, it may not make sense anymore or will prove little. if they fight, it needs to be in 2011 to make it significant for me since both guys are truley in their prime. I would not be surprized if we start seeing a decline in anderson. some think their is already evidence of that after the sonnen fight.
i think if anybody is going to beat anderson and gsp, it will have to be a guy like sonnen. great wrestling and able to take them down at will, great cardio to do it for 5 rds and can avoid subs. sonnen almost did it, but he DID fail a drug test,............ but that's a whole other discussion
