if you watched him, he had his right hand down for that bomb the whole time.

this is chucks problem. he only does this, waits to land that one knock out punch. he refuses to change his style of fighting up and guys are learning how to fight him. i hate rashad and chuck is my 2nd fav fighter but i have to admit this wasnt luck. greg jackson fighters always have good game plans and thats what we witnessed.

You all can call it luck all you want but all that matters is Rashad had his hand raised at the end of the night and that is all that matters in MMA. .

well, maybe if he hadnt been running around the ring scared, and aimlessly swinging, and had a look of complete shock when he actually hit him.. id say where was some skill involved...

I agree mostly with your statement, but I would say that it's not that Chuck refuses to change his style, it's just that, that is his style, and it has worked extremely well. I'm not sure he can change it now, and thats ok, his hands just aren't as quick as they used to be.

The problem is, since Chuck has made a living as a counter-puncher, guys just don't go in there swinging anymore. Unless your Rampage, and you know that you hit harder, most guys will just sit back on Chuck now, and try and beat him at his own game. Unfortunately, it is starting to work.

he has more tools besides his hands. he is a damn good wrestler as well as kick boxer. he doesnt use them. he did a little against wandy but with rashad he went right back to just his hands waiting to land that one punch. thats what he did against jardine, and seeing that are both jackson students he should have had a better game plan. maybe your right, maybe he cant change. as much as i love him he isnt a well rounded fighter. i hate to say it but it may be time to hang up the gloves.

I would agree, not because he can't fight anymore, but more because this division is too tough to fight your way from the bottom. Especially if your 38, and you cant beat the mid level guys anymore. Unless he moves his weight class, I think he's done. I would guess that he will fight again regardless, but only because he still makes money for the UFC.

Other thoughts from the night: I was impressed by Rich. Hamill is not an easy guy to fight, and Rich kept the tempo up and wore Hamill out. Lets see how Rich will fare in his new weight class.
The Henderson and Palhares fight was cool to watch. Palhares just isn't good enough yet to hang with Henderson, but I think he will be, and soon. It almost looked like Henderson had fun in this fight, which is great to see. Both guys has some near misses that really would have changed the fight if they landed. I especially like Palhares kicks that he started throwing as soon as he realized he wasn't gonna take Dan down. I f he works on that stand up game as much as his ground game, I think he can be a great fighter.
Nate Marquardt looks, well, great. :) I think he is really progressing, and I look forward to seeing him in some big fights.
Another win for Tim Boetsch, I don't know why, but I really like watching this guy fight!

Overall, a good night. Except for Karo having to pull out of course. :irked:

Me too, he is one of my new favorites that first fight with David Heath was amazing. The Front kicks over and over followed up by the B**** throw as I call it, I can watch it over and over.
