a screw driver handle and the human body are two totally different things...I wrestled for 7 years and some of our assistant coaches would oil up before the live wrestling portions of our practices to mimic heavy sweat and when it comes down to it, unless you are caked in vasaline it doesn't matter. With smaller amounts of lubricant strength still beats out. Because of the human body's shape if you are stronger than competition most holds can be held with ease (and I should know I was a heavyweight and had to deal with some of the sweatiest ppl I have ever seen). Yeah, throws might be more difficult, but a submission hold is nothing more than an illegal wrestling move.
 
im not saying it is scientifically exact but it gives you an idea. petroleum jelly is a much better and harder to remove lubricant that sweat or water.

This thread blows. Do you think the vaseline would matter if BJ Penn was knocked out cold?

when multiple fighters say something about it then apparently there is a issue that needs to be addressed. even dana white said its illegal. it will be interesting to see what dana does.
