They wouldn't survive winter anyway...

Somewhat false. I watched this show on Natgeo or Animal planet and they where seeing if these RBP where livingin cold place of the united states (ill try to find link) and they got some in a tank and saw how low they can go in temp it turned out they can live and breed it 55F waters.

I watched a show that showed they could live in lake of the ozarks year around. There are springs there that keep the water just warm enough for them to live

wouldnt it get a little too cold in Illinois????? I would imagine the water temp would get lower than 55 degrees there correct me if Im mistaken:nilly:

Is it just me, or did that seem like a high school news broadcast?

it was a local college run news program. only good clip i could find because they actually interviewed the people and went to the lake. the other ones were showing stock footage of piranha and of piranha 3d. of course. ugh. that movie sucks really bad by the way.

oh, seriously? because that is exactly what I said to my GF while we were watching it . . . "this is like watching a college news show"

actually, I'm kinda relieved . . . was thinking local news is really lame where they live . . .
