One of my thorichthys mixteco blue has white stringy poo, but is eating well. Incidentally, she is being stressed by another one. One of the females is pretty aggressive w/ the others.

Few questions:

1. Should I separate the one or treat them all?
2. What treatment works best?

If their eating your in luck.

Metrodinzole... I ground them and then roll a wet pellet. I buy mine at the LDS (Local Drug Supplier)

if they wont eat, catch and force feed. one pellet a day... this has been my experience and was succesful when I has into flowerhorns.

Thanks guys. They are about 1-1.5".
I have epsom salt now. How much salt to water do I use?
I think I want to treat them all just in case. Can't hurt right?

There's a sticky here written by RD, about "Hexamita", which is what your fish have. Treat them now while they're still eating. Fish that small, if they get so sick they quit eating, are gonna be hard to force feed.

The sticky is in the beginning of this forum, or the diseases forum. It's very good, I've used it myself, and it explains how to use Epsom Salt solution, what it is, how it works, and why you should use it.

Also, there's an NLS pellet called "Hex Shield"--it's epsom salt, and some other med's, too. A bag of Epsom salt is cheaper, it works, and it's at the drug store right by your house--so I just use that.

Table spoon

Thanks!

I noticed this one dominant female has all the others pinned in the corner of the tank. I am thinking about separating that one from the others. Think that'S a good idea to reduce the stress?
