The is a chip in the bottom of the front glass panel of a tall 220 g. tank. It is about 2 inches long and is a clam shell looking chunk. Do you think I should chance it? The bottom piece is fine, its just this front piece. Thanks for any advice.

Not a TOTAL loss as you can replace the front piece of glass.

But in a very bad place to just leave it, it's a high stress point when filled and any flexure would shatter it.

On the plus side, if you replace the front panel, you can have the chipped piece cut in half and make 2 plywood tanks with nice windows :D.

Thanks for the reply. It is in the center bottom and is probably the point of most pressure, I agree. Well, back to the drawing board.
