UI hate canister filters more than anything.

I still have it, but I gave the whole lid with the motor to a friend to look at for me. Apparently the whole motor is melted into itself, he couldn't even get the impeller out. It came with the tank I got free, so I'm not out any money, but I couldn't imagine it was actually running in that condition (there were fish in the tank..poor fish). I guess I could find a new motor and everything but by the time I get all necessary parts and etc I should probably just buy a new one .

replaced the impellar and o ring in my 403 and it runs like new even if it is 12 years old, pain in the neck to work on though

yeah canisters are a royal pain in the ass to take care of but are nice while they are doing there job lol
