UK Airports Closed By Ash Cloud From Volcano

It is all strange,but safety first,if that gets in the plane engines..opps..

just think atleast you guys are stuck in a better place,my mates waiting to go to japan, she only has a weeks hoilday,now they told her flights deffo cancelled,should get money back, and you guys due to fly shouls get hotels paid for and food allowance from the airlines<unless you went with<coughs>Easy jet>

People keep saying well i cant see the big black cloud, tsk tsk, its not a movie its real life,hehe the particles are atleast 20000 feet up in the jetstream moving very quick,but if it cloggs the engine thats it game over

yea Im supposed to be on a flight from NYC to Dublin on Tuesday night 10pm EST. What are the odds of it not being cancelled?

and then what are the odds there aren't ash warnings when we get over there? I know there are warnings about staying inside if/when the ash starts falling.

I think my trip to ireland which I have been looking forward to for a year is about to be cancelled.....

saw on sky news this morning that its being considered no major flights will be running until wednesday

but they're just talking of that..... dunno if it will really happen...

BA says No Flights Tommorrow ATM.
My Wife's Cousins INlaws are staying with us as they were stranded on Thursday At Heathrow. They were there since 0530am and were not told anything till mid afternoon, then had to queue 3 hours to get a Visa to stay in the UK temporarily. We went and Collected them @ 8pm when they realised, they had relatives here in the Uk.
Have to sort out there Visas for the Uk and Entry Visas for entering Canada in the morning. Uk Visa expired yesterday and Canadian Entry Visa Expires on the 6th May.
Their Children are very Grateful for us giving them shelter and if needed will Send Money to them here.

Another Uncle is stranded in Delhi.

My Grandmother knew nothing about this and was starting to prepare to fly home next week from her Hols in India. We told Her yesterday to Extend her tickets untill atleast the middle of May (her Visa is Ok till June). She was looking forward to coming home as the Town she is staying in currently has no Electricity or Water supply, due to Restictions Imposed. She is Going to stay with My Mums Brother in another part of the Punjab untill she can come back to the Uk. Gran said she will let us know if she starts to run out of Money.
