You could, for the time being, run a double union ball valve between the pump and the Ultima II filter and control the flow that way. That's how I have mine set up right now. You could always calculate your flow manually with a gallon bucket and a timer. That's how I've set my valve opening, as to not push the water too fast through the filter.
