No surprise that Roy won, but I feel like it's just a waste of $ and more importantly, a waste of an opportunity. You can clearly see from Roy's physical make-up, that he doesn't have what it takes to be an elite fighter. Can he be good? Sure. No doubt he can, he has a lot of talent, but to be elite you have to be so disciplined, and Roy is the opposite of that. It's great that he went out and did what he had to do, and won, I don't blame him, I blame Dana and the UFC brass for wasting their, and our time.
Frankie Edgar is really good. I would guess he'll get a shot at the winner of Florian/Guida, or the loser of Penn/Sanchez. Frankie is one of those guys who could be championship material if he gets the chance.
Jones was very impressive again, but Hamill seemed out of shape. I think Jones is better anyway, but I expected more from Hamill. To me it looked like Jones was trying to pull those elbows in twords his body, and just didn't do a good job at it. The ref was kind of stuck in the sense that he stood Jones up for the illegal blows, but he didn't expect Hamill to say he couldn't continue. Once that happened, they had to DQ Jones. Probably won't hurt him moving forward though.
Kimbo did a good job, but Houston embarrassed himself. What a stupid way to go into a fight. I mean, if his strategy worked exactly like it should have, and going into the third he was down two rounds. What a joke.
Now comes the time where we can see how good any of these TUF guys are. I don't mean by the fights they get, but about how many of them can cut weight. All, and I mean all, of these guys should be at light heavyweight except Marcus and the Wes's. Specifically the guys who could really benefit are McSweeny and Shaub (and Kimbo of course), if they can drop, they might have a shot.
