Ultimatum !!! Help with tank !

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Also RD , my biggest mistake was when you asked me what was my PH, u went straight and did an API test tube and it read fine , but I overlooked the PH that was being read by Seachen PH alert . IT was reading 5.8 which is the minimum in the chart , so it was probably lower. By doing some research I figured out that was the reason for my high ammonia , and that was the reason my fish eyes were getting burned. Low PH was the answer all along , by having such low ph my bio goes on sleep mode , it doesn't want to work. Therefore ammonia its not being taken care off. That's why my tank failed , I also learned I was adding too much prime , I read an article and talked to my lfs provider who's been in the business for 50 years , who explained to me that by adding why to much prime , it does lowers PH , not by much. But it does , and what I was doing was, every time I saw ammonia was high , I would just keep adding prime daily , overtime it led to disaster . I guess lesson learned , I did use PH buffer to raise my PH to 7.2

Been following this thread, been good reading all the advice, and learnt/ relearned couple of things myself, glad to hear it's all working out, well done to all those that contributed to this positive outcome !!!
