man you got me again with titling the thread "ultra rare". i was hoping to see some aros that i dont normally see but the only thing that is ultra rare about that tank is i think you are the only person i have seen that would actually put goldfish and koi with aros and dats.

i have thought about puting some koi in with my aros...nice tank...are you just moving them through or are you going to keep them till adult hood?

hmm im new here and everything but it doesn't matter to me if its rare or not but why have so many fish in one tank would you like to stuck on a single block with the same people in Manhattan for your whole life

I saw a homeless man living in a box in Manhattan :) and he was having a :headbang2 with campfire and all

I just buy a bulk, hoping to end up with a platinum or two :) No worry, they will be sold soon. :headbang2

lots of feeders in that tank

feeder goldfish
feeder koi
feeder dat

it looks good but a very strange mix whats the PH in the tank as at least one type of fish is not happy or in the right water parameters

i kept my aro with my koi that were inside for the winter. it was a great combination. hit me up if you feel like shipping 5 of the aro's up to iowa for a good price. (my silver aro thrived in ph8.4) so i think he should be alright with whichever fish is not in its natural water params. in my opinion having the water clean is much more important than matching the species original water params. you just have to know how the differance can affect your tank like my 8.4 ph means ammonia is something like 2 to the 14th times more potent than if they were in ph7.0

im just getting serious into aquariums, a local shop has a bunch of juvi arowanas there for cheap can these guys go well with aggressive and semi aggressive cichlids?

thanks, trying to figure out all my fish stuff before i go diving in and kill or ruin anything

My kind of tank! Quite rare indeed! Aros, cichlids (African and SA), datnoids, plecos, gold fish and koi. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

Care to show me a similar tank?

K yes I agree that the koi and gold fish are rare to see with aros/dats/cichlids but imo the gold fish will become food eventually but the koi's won't be. Everything else in this combo has been done though.
