Ultra White Sand thats Ray safe and Somewhat fine?

There's no oil in colorquartz, but it does stick to the rays. I have the s grade as well, no idea on the T grade, it's supposed to be bigger. My rays have no problem shaking it off when they want it off though.

The only thing you have to watch out for is silica in the play sands. Even if its fine, its still coarse and will irritate the ray.

The guy working at the place where I got mine, showed me another brand that he was using to replace the colorquartz. It came in a bunch of colors, was smooth, and looked nice, but I forgot the name of it.

ill admit.. its a little oily at first if u don't wash it enough..

the sand barley sticks to my ray's dorsal side. but it does stick a little to the ventral side. mine as well will shake it off easily when ever she pleases.

I used the 3m s grade for awhile in my tank and also noticed it was a bit oily when washing it. I took it out later.
