Understandable-
I'm in no way jumping on you-

Some one buys them eventually and we see more threads like this-
Or ones that say something to the affect of "need to get rid of Pacu-Free for ne that will take him"-

Ive got a 14 inch black shark and a 14 inch red devil, I dont know how the hell I would wrestle them out of my tank if I had to get them out for some reason. I cannot even fathom how Id get a two and a half foot overgrown pacu out of my tank for relocation if it came to that short of a harpoon.

I was at walmart looking at the fish (I find it very intresting to see what they sell and how they suggest to care for it) and they had over 25 tiny pacu in a very small tank. I asked if they sold many of these and the woman said "Oh yea all the time" I replied "Do they know they get three feet long in no time?" She must have be new because she didnt respond but the guy next to her chimed in with "They dont get that big in a small tank" I gave him a dissapointed look and replied "Yea...because they die" and then just walked away. Not to mention they carry more brackish fish than any petstore I know of and all of which are in freshwater and sold as freshwater for life fish. Its one thing for a kid to make a mistake and not know what hes getting himself into and its another thing for a sales person to not know better and actually sell it to him.

i've had the same experience at my locale Walmat, they have pacus and green spotted puffers and other fish like that and they say a pacu requires a min. of 30gallons and they only get 1ft. i wish they would know more about the fish they sell to people.
