I agree, to young to tell the sex of the fish. However, for male umbees, they tend to have more freckles as compared to the female. The best bet for sure is by venting them. good luck in your search.

Do male umbees ever get the darkening in the middle to front portion of the dorsal fin during times of aggression or does this only happen to females.
