Great thread!! I think it's about time there's a discussion on genetics from the same and different locations. There are some new strains/ collection points out in the hobby and coming into it, i would love to compare all the strains and possibly turn this into an info thread so we can all learn more about genetics

Here is a wild female colombian blue umbee I had a couple years ago. I don't know where she was collected from in Colombia.
She was 9 inches in this photo. She was very , very nasty earning her the name MISS MEAN. She was the nastiest fish I ever had.
I traded her to a local fish store where sadly she was murdered by a male tilapia buttikoferi. I was told she was the aggressor in the fight , and I can believe it.

I don't have anything clever to say aside the fact they are awesome fish, if it were for aggression issues I consider. Great fish u got and hi hope to see more umbees.

If I did get her a boyfriend I think there would have been domestic abuse with him being the one getting beat up.
