you did a good job there getting her that
Sorry I meant you did a good job of getting him/her that way very well looked after fish.
I think 50% of the fishes appearance is genetics and the other 50% is what the owner puts in.
You did a amazing job with that fish

There are alot of different Umbee threads on the forum just use the search bar and read away. That's what I did. There is alot of different questions people answer here. And plenty of reading and pictures.

Is there any material recommended to read or watch in regards to learn way more about the umbee
Thanks all for the help
Join a website called Cichlidae.com It is a small fee for membership, but it's probably the most informative for species profiles. Also, if you search around on here, there's tons of information.

In the first year, you could theoretically have a 10-12 inch fish. I agree with Justin Holland Justin Holland you should start with a 6ft tank. Then move up as nessicary. Mine have gone from under an inch to the largest pushing 4 inches in three months. And I have the smaller variant of umbee.
Definitely my guy was 1ft after a year

Are you thinking of Caquetaia Spectabilis?

Didn't they change Umbee's to Kronoheros fairly recently? Are you looking under there or Caquetaia?
