Oooh, be careful... The South American with African with discus - water chemistry doesn't make any difference - crowd will be along shortly to hijack this thread with all of their "nollidge".

Practical "nollidge".

The biggest problem people have with this fish is ultimately NOT pH, it's tank siaze and water quality.

But I stand by my statement regarding mixing the two (CA/SA) Long term stress will ultimately have an adverse affect on the fish.

I hope you didn't think I was disagreeing... I'm a huge advocate of recreating native conditions and chemistry. IMO it's what the whole hobby is about actually...
