Umbee male growth progression (3/4" to 8"+)

If anyone can get anything from this in sexing these guys great. If anyone has tips on lighting or photography to bring out the blues you see in person I'm all ears. He's getting better color every day, but still doesn't compare to most I see on the net. With the flash he appears much more yellow, in person he's more green (on the body).

In the most recent photo you can see what a males naughty bits look like. It's barely poking out but it's there.

He's beautiful! That's cool the way you have shots of him from 3/4"-8". You forget how fast they grow until you go back and look at the photos. I think he's getting a little too big now! Maybe you want to move him!!! I have a nice F0 girlfriend for him!!!

I think a lot of people on here would say 7" of growth in 15 months is really slow. But I don't feed a lot and for half of it's life it was the smallest fish in a large CA/SA 210. Hence the lack of decent photos for the first half of his life, and the growth spurt once he hit 6".

Update. He got the living **** kicked out of him when my RD/midas made it over his side of the divider. He's back to his old self, but you can see where he lost a lot of scales and part of his anal fin.
