The only bone to pick with that post was that the medication recommended, was right but its used for viral infections not bacterial, so it cant be pseudomonas. Being the problem is viral, there is no cure just temporary fixes. It usually can come back, like herpes! We just need to keep treating the water with that same damn yellowing powder. no reason to kill the fish. symptoms should only occur when fish is put under stress, similar to bloat but with better odds. I 2nd that Furon to or Bifuran should be a medication that most fish keepers have handy just in case. GL

The strss required to put the fish back into herpe mode can be as little as new tank mates and breeding. The only fish I have left that had this disease is a festae. Sorry to hear your super beani got it. keep the med close by homie

yeah he got it. scared the **** outta me. but he is 130% now. Stressed him how with a drastic temp water change. never again !!!! he should be fine he is one strong fish on top of bein hypnotic :headbang2
 
Does Petsmart or petco carry these meds? If not, where is a for sure place to get these?
