UMBEE SHOTS

Great looking Umbee, wish I had the space to keep one of those beauties.
 
its funny there have been a bunch of threads recently about Umbies. I went to shark aquarium yesterday and bought an Umbie, its not more then 1 inch and said to be wild caught from Columbia. it seemed to be the alpha male in the tank, so thats why I picked it. Have him in a ten gallon tank, and the 125g is waiting, just didnt want to overwhelm him. cant wait to see what (hopefully he) turns into
 
That's cool you got one too but wild caught is BS there have not been any new blood Umbees brought into the country for years. I only know one guy that got one that came in with other fish by accident. I highly doubt Shark Aquarium found a way and if they did and it was proven the word would be out. Enjoy your fry though. I too have some fry x4 of them

yea i doubt that sharkaquarium has some wild umbee's fry's for sale...:screwy: it will most likely be a F1,F2,F3 if they had a mixed batch of fry's

I agree. The only wilds I know of came in as contaminants.
 
also if it were wild i would bet that the price would be a little bit higher than all the F1 and so on fry's that we have and much old guys....
