Very nice. I like the way you setup the rocks and driftwood. Good looking pair as well.

Nice Drew, Is that white sand in the 220's
Thanks Boreek
It is masonry sand from Home Depot 4$ for 50 lbs.

Where do you get your Umbees from?

The pair in the far 220 came from Dan at COA. Dan picked them out for me himself the male is F1 from his show piece male. The female is wild.

The second pair came from a friend they are "General" line from Freshwaterpredators stock. Some big stuff is on the horizon from that guy so be on the look out.

I also have umbee king gorillus pairs blue and black. I will get some pictures tonight. I also have two umbee king Magnum-X umbees. Little stunners in the making.

If your looking for quality umbees there are a number of members that sell umbees.

Ruck Fules
Freshwaterpredators
Umbee King
Cichlidman09
Trace

These members always have top notch stock and ship when they can. Maybe if they cruise through this thread they will let you know if they have fry.

I tried "play sand" from there but it cloud my tank up very bad and mess my filters up so is masonry sand better and easy to use.

You have to wash it. A lot. But I have tanks with play sand. Masonry sand must be washed as well. You may want to try pool filter sand. Less washing required.

What size is your umbee? Do you have it with tankmates? Girlfriend? How big is your tank.

I will start first
220 -15" male Mag10" female Mag
Sailfin pleco
Pair of Cotapaque Cons
Small bristle nose Plecos

220- 13" male Mag 9" female Mag
1 dovii grow out 5"
2 plecos
Pair of Cabayo cons

125- 12" Gorillus blue Male 8" female
No tank mates at all

150- 9" Gorillus black male 7" female
Large Cotapaque male
Dovii grow out 4"
Blue phantom Pleco
Small Gorillus Black female

These are my current setups smaller tankmates are protected by rock work that the predators can't get into. It works at the moment.

Drew

man that is great set up, nice clean and lots of swimming space with some great fish
post the rest of the pics asap
Love post like this keeps me inspired

What exactly is a "Magnum X" from umbeeking? I know its an umbee and I know umbeeking is the member who breeds and sells them. Is it an umbee from a special location or a crossbreed between two different kinds of umbee? Rio mag x gorilus blue maybe?

I'm thinking a pair of those would look good on the 300 I'm supposed to be picking up this week although it will probably be 2-3 months for me to get it cleaned up cycled and ready for fish.

http://youtu.be/UmUIMOfCLfQ. 150 gal Mags. Male 17 3/4" 3 years old. Female 8" wild caught from cichlid connection. A plane Pleco who never comes out of hiding or he takes a beating! They have spawned several times for me. But with out the divider with a window for her I believe he would have done killed her several times.
