while impressive what does that vid have to do with an umbie?? A full grown umbie could eat that fish too. IMO pound for pound an umbee would own. But a monster size cichla is just gonna be too large probably and would win the majority of the time.

Does this idea seem so absurd to everybody????

really isnt a matter of who eats who, but who can beat the **** out of one another or drive one out of its territory, that all depends on who enters who's domain, a full grown umbee and pbass would be matched, an umbee isnt as long as a pbass but has a thick bulky body, a tem would compensates for this by being greater in length. i think both would be matched, all depends on who's in who's space and who is willing to fight to the death to take it or swim away to fight another day.

quite true. Tem also has speed at an advantage...this is assuming in large amounts of space, in a tank these guys would kill each other from lack of space.

I know that p bass have the power to break your fingers by ramming them. I'm aware of their capabilities. But still, umbees would win. ;P

So how wouldnt a Tem be able to bust the **** out of an umbee if they can break our fingers? Dont get me wrong...Umbees are fighters, but PBass in general would beat the **** out of them.

Sigh Why do people who keep umbee and dovii post stupid threads like this anyways?

"What would be tougher?" "Which you think would kick ass" I mean you don't see Pbass people going around saying my pbass would own your Umbee and Dovii. Pbass are not agressive in the same way by nature. they get their aggressive tendencies but nothing like Dovii or Umbee. They don't need to be. They simplay swallow anything that will fit in their mouth.

Just for this reason, I hope to grow a temensis to adult size. Maybe I can find someone to grow one out like in the wild to 27lbs or so.. Then Just for kicks I will throw in an umbee or dovii and watch it get's it's head swallowed.
