Umbee vs Trimac

Didn't think that I would see this thread again. This is a good educational resource for those keepers that want to place large aggressive cichlids in overcrowded and small tanks. Instead of us giving an answer to this question, "Why can't I keep my Trimac in a 30gal with tankmates?", we can just direct them to this thread and threads like this to show them. I have four Trimac growouts in a large tank and they have been doing well for a couple of months. But now at barely 3" I am seeing split fins on the sub-dominant ones. I'm going to have to separate them at this size. I can't imagine a full grown one trapped in a small aquarium with an Umbee and Pacus. These are all beautiful species of fish that must be taken care of and respected. I know that the OP was only showing the rest of us an example of some of the foolish things people do to their fish. BTW I hope all of you guys have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I dont like that the umbee died, but i think everybody in this hobby has a slight interest in the fighting capabilities of cichlids. I would never fight a cichlid for the fun of it, just saw the video thought people might want to see it.

Sorry, Your dead wrong. Anyone who has even the slightest interest in fighting fish is to immature to properly care for and keep aggressive cichlids responsibly. Try another hobby... Start a stamp collection.

He's a dog fighter. And I dont think he takes his dogs to shows.

Some groom them, some fight them, some eat them, some have sex with them.
But whatever it is they do, they need a dog lol



The the owner of the video screwed up if the fish really died. Im sure he'll take that as a lesson. Im sure he didnt want or expect that. I blame him for the death of his fish. making sick and die due to stupidity
